A Note From Administration

Dear NJES Families,
As we head into the final weeks of the school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued partnership and support. It has made a real difference, and we’re excited to finish the year strong—together.
Please remember that student attendance remains critical. Every minute of learning counts, and our teachers are still working hard to maximize instructional time. We need your help to make sure students are present and ready to finish the year with success.
This week, we’re kicking off one of our favorite NJES traditions—Field Day! Be sure to check the schedule below to see when your student’s class will participate. If you’d like to attend—whether to volunteer or just cheer from the sidelines—please remember to bring a valid ID for check-in.
🟡 Field Day Schedule:
  • May 14th – 2nd Grade, 4th Grade, and Hendley
  • May 15th – 3rd Grade and 5th Grade
  • May 16th – Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and Benkoski

📍Sign up to volunteer or attend: https://bit.ly/NJESFieldDay2025

Come out and join us—we can't wait to see our students compete, play, and show off their teamwork and sportsmanship!
Looking ahead, we’re excited to celebrate our students’ positive behavior with our final PAWS quarterly reward party—Water Day—on Monday, May 19th. Students who have earned 25 Dojo points and received 0–1 reflection forms will be eligible to attend. Students not meeting the criteria will be given a chance to create a behavior plan and earn their way back into the event.  All parent waivers were due May 9th.
On Water Day, students will enjoy both wet and dry inflatables. Please be sure to send:
  • An extra change of clothes

  • A beach towel

  • Sunscreen

  • Lunch from home (optional) or students can request a sack lunch from the cafeteria

PBIS & Counseling

It's Mental Health Week! Students and staff will be participating in a variety of activities this week raising awareness, reducing stigma, and promoting well-being within our school community. Mental Health Week is not only a chance to learn but also a reminder that taking care of ourselves and each other is essential—every week of the year!
