International Night
International NIght 2

Thank you!

Thank you to all of the families that hosted a table last week at International Night! We appreciate everyone that came out to celebrate our diversity and learn about different cultures. We are already excited about next year's event!

A Note from Administration

Dear NJES Families,
As we move into the final stretch of the school year, I want to thank you for your continued support. These next few weeks are incredibly important for our students, and we are so proud of the growth we’ve seen in them. Every minute in school truly matters—please help us by encouraging your child to be present, on time, and ready to do their very best each day.
Our Georgia Milestones state assessments for students in grades 3–5 begin Monday, April 28th, starting with ELA (over three days), followed by 5th grade Science on Thursday, April 30th, and Math on May 6th and 7th. These assessments are an opportunity for students to show what they’ve learned throughout the year, and we’re excited to celebrate their hard work and success!
Our Kindergarten through 2nd Grade students will also begin their MAP assessments in early May. We are focused on learning and growing each student, and we’re grateful for your partnership every step of the way.
Last week, we had a fantastic time during our 2nd Annual NJES International Night—thank you to all the families who participated and helped make it such a special evening. It was a beautiful celebration of culture, identity, and community, and we are so thankful for the opportunity to learn more about our students and their backgrounds.
We also want to give a huge THANK YOU to our amazing Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Their recent fundraiser raised over $11,000, which will directly support our student groups, clubs, and the continued development of our NJES student garden. If you’re looking for a way to get involved, we’d love to have you join us! For more information, feel free to reach out to our PTO at northjacksonpto@gmail.com.
Thank you for being part of our NJES family. We’re looking forward to finishing strong—and celebrating all that our students have accomplished!
Sincerely,
Troy Johnson
