A Note from Administration

Welcome Back from Spring Break!
We are thrilled to welcome our students back to North Jackson Elementary School after a well-deserved Spring Break! The final stretch of the school year is packed with exciting activities and important opportunities for learning and growth.
This Thursday, April 17th, is a big day at NJES—it’s our annual International Day and Night celebration!
  • During the school day, we’ll kick things off with an International Parade. Each class will represent a country, and we’re asking students to come dressed to represent either their class’s assigned country or their own country of origin. It’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase the cultures that make our school community so rich and diverse.
  • Then, on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, we invite all families to return for International Night! Join us for a festive evening filled with crafts, food, music, and more as we celebrate the cultures that make NJES such a special place.
Meanwhile, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are gearing up for the Georgia Milestones state assessments, which will begin on Monday, April 28th, and run through Wednesday, May 7th. We encourage families to help students get plenty of rest and arrive on time each day during testing.
Also, be sure to mark your calendars for our upcoming Field Days and Awards Days in May:
  • Field Days: May 13th–15th
  • Awards Days: May 20th & 21st
Check out the NJES End-of-Year Events Calendar to stay up to date with everything happening as we wrap up the year.
And remember—every day counts. Daily attendance is crucial as we finish strong. Let’s keep encouraging our students to show up, lead, and learn.
Thank you for your continued support!
—Mr. Johnson
