A Note from Administration
Dear North Jackson Elementary Families,

There are no words to fully express the gravity of the events that have taken place this week. Our hearts are heavy, and we are all deeply affected. It is truly hard to comprehend.  Please know that the safety and well-being of your children remain our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all of our students, and we are taking every necessary step to ensure that remains true moving forward.  As we navigate this difficult time together, we appreciate your understanding, trust, and continued partnership. If you have any concerns or need additional support, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for being part of our North Jackson Elementary family.

Beanstack Reading Challenges
Our school is using an amazing online tool to help readers
discover books and track their reading through the Piedmont Regional Library System called Beanstack. With Beanstack students can:
  • participate in reading challenges, earn badges, and win prizes.
  • track reading by books and/or minutes.

Students can access the Beanstack page at prlib.beanstack.org .  If they do not already have an account set up,

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports

It is almost time for our monthly recognitions for our PAWS-itive behavioral expectations! Our September Panthers of the Month and Mindset Heroes will be awarded in the coming weeks. As a reminder, these students are recognized for outstanding behavior and exhibiting our school-wide expectations, or P.A.W.S (Pride, Attitude, Work, Safety). You can view all of our behavioral expectations below.

Have a career you would be interested in talking with our students about? If so, please sign-up for our Career Day on November 15th, from 9:00am-10:30am. You can sign-up by clicking the link HERE. For more information, please contact the school counselor, Sydney Neese at sydney.neese@jcss.us.

Family Engagement
A HUGE ‘Thank You’ to those families who attended our first Parent University Curriculum Night. It was so good to see you, and we hope you enjoyed learning more about what your child will be learning this year.
As a reminder, we will be finalizing our Title I Family Engagement Plan and our Family-School Compact and will present our final documents at our annual Title I meeting on Friday, November 8th, at 5:30 pm, right before our Fall Festival. We would still love your input on these documents though! Please feel free to fill out this survey to share your thoughts!
