School Clinic

Welcome to the NJES School Clinic

At North Jackson Elementary, your child’s health and safety are a top priority. Our School Clinic is part of the Jackson County Student Health Services Program, which supports student wellness so every child can learn, grow, and reach their full potential.

Our clinic is staffed by Mrs. Brooke Sonnenfeldt, our clinic assistant.  Our clinic assistant can provide care for your child’s daily health needs and help manage and support chronic conditions. Whether it’s a scraped knee, a daily medication, or a more serious medical concern, we are here to help.

How We Support Your Child

Our school clinic staff:

  • Care for students with asthma, diabetes, seizures, ADHD, and other health needs

  • Provide first aid and emergency care

  • Give daily medications and treatments with proper medical orders

  • Help manage mental health concerns and nutrition needs

  • Prevent illness through health education and hygiene reminders

  • Keep track of student immunizations

  • Conduct vision, hearing, scoliosis, and dental screenings

  • Attend IEP, 504, and health plan meetings to support student needs as needed

We believe healthy students are better learners. By working together with families and the community, we’re helping every student stay safe, strong, and ready to learn.

If you have questions or need support, our clinic team is here for you!
