About the Assistant Principal

Kristi Terry

K Terry

It is with great excitement that I join North Jackson Elementary School as your assistant principal! I have been an educator for sixteen years. For the most recent five years, I have served in Jackson County as a teacher and instructional coach. Prior to teaching in Jackson County, I taught Special Education in Gwinnett County.  I am originally from a small town in southeast Georgia, but moved to Jackson County after graduating with my bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. (Go Dawgs!!) I earned my Master’s Degree in Special Education from Piedmont College and my leadership certification from University of West Georgia.

My husband, Jon Terry, and I have three children.  Olivia is a 7th grader at West Jackson Middle School who loves running cross-country and swimming.  Anderson and Braden are 3rd graders at Gum Springs Elementary who love baseball and wrestling.  We also have a very active yellow lab named Buddy who loves to play fetch and makes sure we stay very active.

I am honored to serve as your assistant principal and I look forward to building relationships with our students and families.  Our goal at NJES is for students to have meaningful and successful educational experiences that prepare them for their best futures! Please don’t hesitate to contact me by calling the school or emailing me at kterry@jcss.us with any questions or concerns.  I look forward to a great school year! Go Panthers!!
