The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) has posted to its website a Parent’s Question and Answer flyer at  This document will provide answers to questions you may have about Georgia Milestones. In addition, if you are visiting in the building some of these materials will be available in our front office.

We are also writing to share with you information about online test administrations this spring.  For a number of years, the GaDOE has been offering online test administrations as part of the state’s student assessment program.  The Georgia Milestones Assessment System will continue, and expand upon, the availability of online testing.

This year North Jackson Elementary will be testing all students in Grades 3, 4, and 5 online during our upcoming  Spring 2018 administration of the Georgia Milestones Assessment.  The information below is provided to assist you and your student in becoming familiar with the features of online testing:

  • A website, called Experience Online Testing Georgia, has been established to provide an opportunity for students to become familiar with the online testing platform. The website can be found at the link that follows: This practice site does not require a log-in and is available 7 days a week.  Please remember this practice site is not designed as a “practice test” to measure a student’s knowledge of course content and scores will not be generated.  This site is intended to allow students to familiarize themselves with the online platform prior to testing.
  • Resources designed to help your student prepare for the Georgia Milestones are available at
  • We will also be setting up practice sessions during the school day to provide students a similar opportunity to acquaint themselves with the online testing system.

Testing will begin promptly at 8 am.  Please make sure your child arrives on time and is well rested.  Also, please make sure your child has a healthy breakfast every morning.  Snacks will be served daily in the middle of the testing session.  If you have questions about our upcoming spring test administrations for Georgia Milestones, please contact Mrs. Strickland, Dr. Dean, or your child’s teacher at 706-693-2246.

Thank you for your continued support and for helping to make a successful testing season!
